quote: Here's what was printed today in the Gazette in Montreal...
"We could even ask whether these vehicles, these little bombs, should be on our roads," Harbour said, adding he understands high-powered motorcycles made in Japan are banned in their home country.

Isn't it nice when governments try to protect it's stupid subjects from hurting themselves? I do fear that various Canadian governments federal or provincial will look at banning/horsepower limits at some point. We could be looking at the same situation France is in not too far down the road.
Governments in general try to justify their existance by passing more and more laws and rules and regulations.
I'm sure they will handle sport bikes as efficiently (and cheaply) as they handled gun registration in Canada!

what a fucking moron that harbour guy is. and u know what gets me, is he is marring what could otherwise be a reasonable and valid IMO argument with his stupidity. given the numbers presented in terms of payouts, it is only fair that bikes would have a premium 2.5 times higher than cars (tho it sounds liek they are raising it well past that). but by adding unfounded crap like that, he just kills the argument entirely. mind u, imho the whole "no fault" system is so rediculously full of problems anyway.

Has any American wine lover ever tried to buy wine in Canada, it's a joke.

Does Canada get the "good" beer? I know some states around here get somethin like 2 or 2.5% domestic beer while others get the "unrestricted" stuff... 4-5%. Something like that anyway...
Kinda like buying the Barcardi "Breezers" that were originally made with real-live rum, now it's just watered-down flavored malt-liquor.

We need the higher alcohol content in our beer in Canada to keep our blood from freezing during our cold Canadian winters......................
