I am going to jump on the april 30 demo as well as many as i can get to , I live in Alberta 
I doubt Kawasaki would want to have thier 2006 demo with out a flagship model .

Around here, no one demo's the Busa or the 12R...too many mishaps is what they claim.

I have demoed a "Busa, BMW K1200S and a '05 GSXR 1000 over the last few years. The demo's are usually pretty controlled with a lead rider and a tail rider to keep things under control. You usually have a few opportunities to nail it through the gears (within reason)
Locally, more cruiser type bikes have been crashed on demo's, than sport bikes. It is usually sport riders on cruisers who lean a cruiser hard into a corner only to find out first hand that they really don't have any cornering clearance!

I have too, with the exception of the Busa and a 12R...but most dealers around here will not permit the demo on those 2 machines...1200S is a monster as well...but IMO not worth the money they command for it...I'll take the 14 or a Busa for 11k less. True the 1200S is a highly refined ride and fast too, with lots of low end grunt and serious stopping power...but for 25K...they can keep and I can probably buy a used 10r for what the cost is to service that thing...

I just signed up for a demo today on the BMW K1200R (the naked version of the K1200S), not serious about it at all, I do as many demo's as I can each year.
It's always a good time riding some one else's machine, then doing some 'bench racing' with the guys.

I just realized that I can't even do a demo ride because I no longer have bike insurance. 
Probably due to the fact that I no longer have a bike.

Don't need it -- the manufacturer has the bikes covered, just like a car demo....no ins required.

Not here. Buell is doing a demo day and you must have a valid motorcycle endorsement and proof of insurance.
Yea, the manufactrer covers the bike but at least here, you need a minimum amount of liabilty insurance. (A no-fault state.)

There are enough demos for now on the 14! Where are the bikes and what do they do aith the test bikes? I'll settle fo one of those for now!
