Poll Question:
How Many of you are Currently Bikeless?

There is obviously great inpatience waiting for the '14 to show up. How many of you sold your current bike with the belief the '14's would be available in March? Are you considering another bike because you have nothing to ride at the moment and the riding days are ticking away?
You still have your current bike, but wanted to upgrade this year?

I am sure we are down to weeks or a month at the outside. Are any of you really going to jump ship when have to be getting pretty close now?
I tend to keep my bikes 4 years or more so I'm not going to buy something I'm only 'luke warm' about.

Poll Results:
 9 votes (39%)
Sold Current bike expecting '14 to be available

 7 votes (30%)
Still have my current bike

 5 votes (22%)
Sold my main road burner, but have another bike

 2 votes (9%)
Rentry rider, have no bike at the moment

I have other toys to ride, built to hilt CR500AF, and heavilly modded 750 brute force 4x4.
However, I don ot have hours to load, unload gear up, and wash them , after riding right now.
Working 80-90 hrs a week right now!
I would be riding a street bike to work though if I had one, and that would ease my pain and anxiety.

I still have my Triumph Speed Triple to tool around on. I am glad I didn't sell it now. My dealer told me a week or two while taking my money, now I can't get anything other than "hopefully this month". That is almost a straight answer.....kind of maybe.?

yeah , I built my own 1st gen CR500AF.
Totally done, oversize braking rotor, stainless lines, ported, piped, oval bored carb 40x42mm, v force reeds, hinson clutch, RG3 suspension and tripple clamps, pro tapers, fastway hand guards and scotts steering damper etc etc.
stock compression was 6.9:1, now runs 11.5:1 and vp c-12.
Dyno'd at 72 RWHP.But its whats under the curve that is the real deal!
Geared it up from 14/50 to 15/47 so the tire would hook up better. geared for 102 MPH
Too much tire spin with stock gearing.
I GPS it at 98 MPH last summer. ON SAND !!!!!!!!!!!
It will pull the frt tire off the ground at 80 MPH no problem.
I have owned 500's for the last 18 years, except for a yz450f four stroke.
I missed the power of the 500, so I built this one.
its far too fast and powerful for MX but is definately an adrenaline rush!
I use it for play riding and embarassing people.
Most think its another black CR250... till I roost em!

Waitin for my next beast!
zx14.
I can't wait to tweak it out !

Thankfully no. I nearly put my GSX-R1000 into the dealers showroom last month, "14's here any day now" they said. So the Suzuki was serviced, polished and pampered. All ready to go.
Damn glad I hung onto it. Days later I got the "....end of May, early June" statement.

Sold my ZZR-1100 in february, believing that the 14 is here late march.
This week the dealer says end of april and I think it's really what he knows yet.
Yesterday talked directly to Kawa Germany.
Their statement: Possibly (!!!) the first bikes go to german dealers mid of may!!!
And I'm afraid that's not the end of the story.
Now even me gets a little bit ... about this f.... strategy.

That sounds about right, the Kawasaki rep was at my dealer yesterday and gave us 3rd week in May as his best guess.

They also said, unfortunately not all dealers will get one and hardly a dealer will get the number really ordered with the first delivery.
Will depend on the dealer, when exactly and how many bikes he'll get.

No--sold my bike and paid the TOTAL amount due on the 14. Yes, I was a dumbass to do that----should have never believed the bike was going to be here in March. This is the longest I have gone without a bike since I was 14. As someone said, there is not really a bike out there that will do what the 14 does-----I am just worried that Kawasaki may hold introduction and call it an 07 model. Little late in the game to do anything now.
