ockham's razor anyone?

While I'm not entirely sure how Occam's Razor would apply, in the spirit of not multiplying entities beyond necessity I volunteer to receive a bike directly from Kawasaki...

There's a big difference in viewing angle. Go look up 'parallax error'...

I don't have to look up parallax error. I've been a commercial photographer for more years than I care to admit. Look at other photos in the links above rather than the two shown. (One of which was copied from my web site I might add). The distance from the windscreen to the intake is clearly different.

They're definitely different sizes. Even in the first pics that were posted, the camera angles and distance were nearly identical. Changing the position and angle by small amounts wouldn't make the hole shrink 2 inches. It's easy to use the width of the intake as a reference point. In all the original photos, the height of the hole was longer than the width. In the new versions, the height is shorter than the width.

sorry fellas... to me the intakes look identical.. only differences appear to be camera lenses and camera angles... If someone can circle or point out exactly what difference they see it might help, but as far as I'm concerned they appear to be the same.

Just look at the upper between the scoop and windscreen and you'll see it. It also looks like the shape of the heart was slightly changed...the corners on the 2nd version have smaller angles.

Still...no big deal to me. I don't care if it was changed, or it's just an illusion. Somebody call Trenace and have him scale all the pics and we'll know for sure.

so it does look as if Coby and Rickey has the production intakes... What other reasons do you think that they have been holding the bikes up???

from rickey g.

Chip:

The bikes are on the ship and at customs by now.
From what I hear customs is the hold up now.

jim.... I've been told to "just look" a thousand times... no matter how many times I "just look" I cant see any differences that I would not attribute to different camera angles and or lenses. Sorry.
