Anyway,
I beleive press intro figures were altered or the #'s presented in such a manner to mislead people.
Why else such a strange graph?
First time I ever saw a dyno graph with those units.
What happens after peak HP?

What bugs me more than the lack of a full (and independant) dyno curve is having to buy a bike before any of the mags publish an objective test. Given all the pre-intro hype about the 12R, and the ultimate disappointment once it arrived in the flesh, I'm getting a bad feeling about Kawi's sequence of events surrounding the 14.

...I look at it this way: Kawasaki is playing superbike poker with the rest of the bike manufacturers, with Suzuki as its main adversary....if you were Kawasaki, would you show your hand?...if so, then how does a good poker player win like that?

don't you have anything else to do with your life than whine about a motorcycle. it just proves that people like you are too stupid to understand that companys give us what they want when they want and they don't care what we say. look at how ugly it is .we all said no on the pre production models. they had time to change it but their jap ego's got in the way............AS OF MARCH 22 2006 THE ZX12R IS THE BEST SPORT BIKE FOR THE MONEY EVER MADE. ...............just be happy your not waiting for a peice of shit harley.

I,ll bet that if you overlay a showroom stock dj250 graph of the 14 with a well tuned and piped 12r you would be disapointed. The 14 would be slightly higher up to about 8000 rpm then the 12r would be higher. With a pipe, some timing and an air filter it should best the 12r by about 6-10 hp above 8000 rpm.
It wouldnt be a good marketing tool to show this graph comparing average joes tuned and piped 12r to a stock 14.

With all the development taking place for months now, and the wait..... it all feels dejaveux

The release of information has been very slow except for reports from th press intro.
I can not believe a sheet doesn't exist.
First thing a tuner would do was set a good baseline no?
Guys have bikes PAID FOR/OFF and noone can tell them if it has even been built.
Europeans are being told May and June.
My dealer says April.
What to believe?
Were all gettin anxious my friend.
Its been a long winter for some.... I can see the bare pavement on my street for the 1st time this week, since last November!

I agree!! totally they should show a dyno sheet!! just so everyone can see a base line... because it will be a good start.... lol.. my son just walked up and looked at your icon and was like brmmmm... brrrrmmmmm.... he loves motorcycles...
but If I remember correctly I dont think the big Kawi put out a dyno sheet on the 12.....

Because the season hasent started yet... and when it does hopefully it will be 28, 29, 30, etc...
this is my 9th year racing... and I have 27 career wins under my belt... last year I had 6 and in 2002 I had 7, that was the most in one year... usually I avg 3.
I should have kept track of how many finals I have been in, but I have not... it would probably be like 75-80...
