Instrument panel

Look at the cockpit:
some instrumental panel options

Perhaps you can replace that co. logo with "ZX-14.com" logo?

Fuel comsumption calculated?

What's that?

The benefits of CAN and omboard computers: how far can you go

Battery status

What? No Finnish language?
I guess this for Canada! (and France & UK & US & Australia & ...)

So lights can off and dim or bright

I guess this could be your "standard" screen

Nice, wher you find dat VPN.

you ask-what that? INST= instantanious fuel mileage... very nice!

My main display would probably be instantanious fuel mileage, or range.
Can follow road signs and decide to fuel up or not, based on (estimated) range display!
Too bad no oil pressure guage

No, it's slower because it is so fat !!
And there is serious bump on the power curve at the 4000 rpm
This bike is a lemon!
I'm selling it right away and I'm gonna buy a 2003 Busa instead!

I'm going nuts waiting for the bike to arrive *somewhere* in the world

Most of all I want bike magazine comparison test

I didn't know you were pulling my leg, thought you were serious

Too early for magazine comparison tests. PS magazine (more sportsbike oriented, sister magazine of Motorrad) will run a street test mid April)

That's gotta be a ZZR1400, it has a red key, with transponder I would guess, (the main service key)...and I believe that it's only available with transponder anti-theft across the pond. My R1 has the same type of anti-theft key. Just an observation...and BTW, where's that rear view cam that shows Busa's trying to catch up from behind? I didn't notice it in yer pics and that's the option I wanna use most...

There seems to still be the same flaw as with ZX12. You can't see the clock at the same time as the trip or as in here the range. That's the function I would like to see. Small trip, estimated range and the clock at the same screen because those are the functions I'd be using the most.

I would love to see a totally user programmable screen
including font sizes
I remember some news sites offering to have 1, 2, or 3 panels
headlines or detailed info
and then user can choose with info goes where

I would use xml and provide a USB client & host interfaces
Well, thats the ZX-16 in 2011

Look again, the clock never goes away unless you are in program mode.

I agree about having one trip meter & range on-screen at the same time - that's all I'd keep on the screen! Guess I'll have to settle for trip & clock, while occasionally checking range if the tank is getting low-ish.

Nice and very informative panel. I assume that it is switchable between metric and imperial UOM's. Being from a "metric" origin, I like to switch back and forth if I can, even here in the USA.
Thanks VPN!

My 10R does go back and forth from metric to imperial, so I imagine that the 14 does as well. Doesn't make sense that it wouldn't IMO.

You are right FBA, it would not make sense to have two different displays.

One of those screens shows English and French as options, so I'm sure the French route would switch to metric stuff, wouldn't it? That's obviously a euro bike since it has the immobilizer. I wonder if there are differing options for bikes intended for different markets... Maybe there's an American/Canadian option for the NA bikes

Seems like they would just call it English/Metric for everyone?
