zx14-[as in 14 years old]
WTF.....I had to turn off my email notification to replys because some kiddie decideds to create a thread on "The King of Speed" and you guys keep taking the bait....
All the engineering, the thought, meeting EPA and other restrictions....the planning...everything that goes into a bike like the ZX14 or the Busa and useless chatter like that argument over the King of Speed fills up my inbox.....
You'd think the 14 in ZX14 was more representative of the average age of some of the people posting here.....

I say let him post. It is like an arguement with your nephew. The goofball won't listen to reason, has to have the last word and has zero life experience. But, you can just hear the wheels clicking away after he "wins" the arguement. If we can save one youthful idiot and convert him to the cause of right and might, well, it is all worthwhile then isn't it?

I regretfully have now deleted more posts and threads tonight, then I have in total since I first became a moderator over FIVE YEARS.
Normally, I would let such shit float on its own and wouldn't even think of locking the threads, much less deleting them. I feel uncomfortable doing it and would almost wish that blitz or fish had done it, instead of me. It is NOT the way I prefer to moderate forums at Bikeland.
All the same, the ZX-14 forum has started off with a little more of a "high brow" demeanor and should not have to deal with such crap if they do not wish to. I have always had a "let the membership be the moderators of their own forums. My duty to the membership is solely to execute their wishes.
Several members have voiced their opinions here, as well as sent PMs and e-mails concerning the redundant and pointless posts. They wish them to be removed. I felt it would at least be fair to give him a chance to post a valid post. The chance was given and he declined to take advantage of it.
Unless instructed by either the membership or the administrators, I will continue to remove such asinine posts from hayabusa4300 in this forum only.
The Smack House would be more than happy to welcome his posts in their forum. If he so wishes to continue with such, I do hope and encourage him to visit that forum.

As a relative newcomer to this site, I hope Bikeland maintains it's status as an "open" forum, not some little boys club ( as some other sites have become; micro-managing, banning, deleting etc ). Someone starts a thread, makes some statements, members engage him, and then do not like the way he responds to their posts in his thread. Hey guess what? maybe theres a life lesson in there somewhere. If you no play game like I wanna play game I gonna cry and take my marbles. WTF grow up. Dude did'nt disrespect anyone, he simply generated some needed interest on this site. BTW not trying to flame anyone personally, just expressing my general viewpoint. I also recognize I wouldn't have the ability, make the effort, or spend the time founding, moderating or administrating a site like this so I do have some appreciation of those that will.

I wouldn't consider mindless posts anything that stimulated discussion. A discussion at least requires 2 intelligent sides. Hayabusa boy is spamming and doing standard troll shit trying to piss people off. By responding to him and wasting time, you give him what he wants. All he really wants is attention....he wins every time you reply to him. His posts are all in caps, double spaced, and loaded with bad grammar to purposely annoy people. He doesn't have any valid points and he already knows it, but they don't even have to be valid for him to win...he wins every time another nut replies to him. Anyway, if garbage like that stays here, I'm not even going to bother looking in this forum.
Edit...and in the time it took me to write that, he made 18 topics. Guess I was right about the spam huh?

Sure, this forum is open to any and all who want to post just about any ZX-14 or motorcycle-related comment - and we've seen plenty of that. But, when someone is simply posting OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER (you get the idea...) with his only goal to be annoying, then it has to stop.
This forum is very generous with giving leeway to people who just want to cause problems. There's a lot of smack-talk that is tolerated, mostly because it generates or was generated by constructive banter. The simple fact that only a VERY small handful of members have been banned or have had posts deleted speaks to the freedom that the site admins & moderators give us lackys.
I'm a "newbie" around here too, and I've taken my fair amount of shit (thanks 238), but I'm still here and I plan to be here for quite a while (sorry...).

pmkin10r - I agree that this should be an open forum, as are all the forums of Bikeland. Still, 20+ threads of mindless dribble, one including a "wish" that stated, "I hope you hit a tree" wouldn't even have a place in the Smack House.
If folks wish to debate politics, religion or even bikes, they are more than welcome to do so on these forums. One would hope that they would take the first two to the Smack House, leaving the latter for this and other bike related forums. Its not that this forum has to and can only be bike related, because I don't feel that should be the case.
I also do not wish to "micro-manage" this forum or any other I moderate. Hell, I've often argued to keep inflamitory posts not only on the thread, but to leave it unocked to allow others to reply. If some wish for it to go away, I often suggest they just don't post on that thread. If it really "sucks", it will drop off the page on its own.
