I'm guessing 2.5 mm?
Stock bore is 84 x 61 mm = 1352cc at 12.0 compression ratio
Big bore kit 86.5 x 61 mm = 1392cc figuring 13.5 compression ratio.
Mmm...this could be fun!

SWFT , I think your abacus is broken !LOL your calculation is abit off. 2.5mm adds 72cc to the 12r. How did you get 40cc out of 2.5mm on the 14?

Nice going, but the ZX-14 is still better in curves and has new 2006 technology
The old dog 12R is only for those who just can't handle the news
Same with busanists, they just can't admit that ZX-14 is a far better bike
It's simply the best! and that's it!

How did you make that conclusion yet? No one that I have seen has ridden one along side a 12r to qualify that statement. You would need to ride both together on a ride in the twisties to really compare the two. It wouldnt be like getting on a 10r from a 12r where there is a world of difference. I'll bet if one is "better" than the other in the handling dept. it would be VERY minimal. The weight and geometry are so close you couldnt ride a 12r one week and ride the 14 next week and make any real conclusions. I dont think theres anyone yet that can actually make this statement with any validity. Yet.
As soon as the masses have them and can swap back and fourth on a ride and both bikes have tires that arnt allready flat in the center, then a conclusion could be made.
The brakes... well i'll bet that there is more of a difference in that area. And of course midrange power. But a 12r with a pipe will make more power than a stocked piped 14.
zx14 guys better have at least a pipe if they want to play with piped 12r's.

Red 1- Currently working on 86mm bore, 66mm Stroke. 1417cc and 1534cc. Bigger is possible but maybe not reliable.

1417cc - that sounds like a real ZZR1400/ZX-14
I bet that 1534cc wil be the next ZZR1600/ZX-16
