Good article, and it stirs up some a question that's probably been in the foreground for many of us that primarily ride the sport-touring or supersport-touring category of bikes. This type of bike really suits the riding that we have available here in Texas - lots of open road, great back-to-back super high-speed sweepers, and only a short day's ride to some really good roads in Arkansas. I can't wait to see what Suzuki and Honda will come out with in the next few years.
The entire motorcycle industry will continue to feed off the higher US gasoline prices - that's the one of the reasons that motorcycles are SOOO popular in Europe. Eventually, we won't be sitting around wondering why manufacturer release way cool bikes over there that we never get to see over here. It'll only get better...

fish, did you really get to lean on it in the twisties? Or was it more about high speed sweepers and such? I know you said it seemed to turn in faster, but what about side to side transitions and midcorner corrections. When wicked up did it want to plow the front tire right after turn in? I know you'll probably answer all of this in your report. I could give a shit about the 1/4 mile capabilities, I wanna know how it could hang with a 12R on the Cherohala Skyway, or the Foothills Parkway. Even the Gap for that matter, which isn't the 12s cup of tea, but it does pretty damned good there if your gonads are big and your brain isn't. LOL
