Release date
Most people say the middle of March, why would they wait till the end of bike week? Just a note, I received my 00 12 on March the 2nd of 2000, so I say we see them at the end of the month.

i went to the bike shop jeff the g.m said he got an email from kawi today 2/20/06 the release will be late march after bike week

Depends on which Kawasaki dealer I talk to, one has said next week (LOL), another said in two weeks (HA!) and the other has said, end of March, early April (much more realistic).These are the guys I'm buying mine through, at least they have known me long enough to know that I can see through their bullshit so they have stopped trying it on me.
I saw a '06 ZX-12 yesterday in the black with gold belly pan.......... Very capable looking bike. I know nothing has changed from last year but they still look to be a dominant force amongst other sports bikes..

Living in the 'frozen north', late March, early April works for me as the riding season is pretty iffy before mid April. This year has been an exception as the weekend before last it was +12 C and the roads were totally dry.

Anyone think I can get a deal on this bike?...Called my dealer today and the sales guy says everyone is still buying Busa's and no waiting list he knows of for the 14. I said thats great news...lol
So, thinking I should be able to get them to come down considerable in price, dont know... Sacramento, Ca..big dealer here. I just have a bad habbit of paying full price for all my bikes...but since I joined forums for the first time 2yrs ago I am amazed on OTD prices people get for Kawi. bikes.

Hope to get a better price than that...I paid 11.5k OTD on my 04 10 with a 5yr warranty. I thought that was a great deal at the time, but saw way better OTD prices after that(under 11k).
just to let anyone know, I am not a 100% sure yet...just entertaining the idea if I can do it with a rock bottom price. I love my 10 so...it will be hard to do.

No, understand...thats why I told the dealer on my last purchase to include it as part of the deal. I don't care what sales tax is or crate setup, or tags...etc....just tell me the rock bottom price for out the door.
Unfortunaltely when I bought my 10, I had 11.5k ready and said I will buy right now for that price OTD. Then they came back and said no problem and threw in a 5yr warranty, so quess they would have gone lower if I went lower...although If I keep my 10 the warranty might come in handy.

just found on a website..a dealer in fremont, CA.. knocking 1k off their sticker price...seems to be a trend now so I am hopeful to see even better prices. I really like the fact there are more Gix riders buying Busa's...that might help me if I go this route because the dealers are stuck with thier slow ass zx14's..lol
