Will a red box let us make long distance phone calls for free?

If it has an electronic driven speedometer you will need one, and you can be assured it does...

you only need one if you change:

the tire/ wheel size

the sprocket size/ ratio

stock shouldnt make a difference unless you want to eliminate any speedo error you may have... and who looks at their speedo anyways?

Is this "yellow box" thingy the save device that also removes the electronic speed limiter? I'm not sure how often I'd need to exceed 186, but you never know... My ZZR has had 178-182 indicated on more than a few occasions (probably more like 170 actual).

Is that the device that fools the computer into thinking it's always in 5th gear?

You need one for high speed runs over 186 mph (true) if the bike is "restricted" when it arrives. At the moment we don't have that information yet in the UK and the bike is due end of March. Keith

I'm going under the assumption that these bikes will be "restricted". Otherwise, we would have seen advertisements touting this bike to be the fastest production bike ever. As it is, the only performance claims that Kawi's marketing have made so far talk about drag-strip stuff...
