Went to the show and they had specifications
Here's what was written:
HP: 190 (Crank) HP
HP with Ram-air: +200 HP
Torque: 154 Nm
Fuel Tank: 22l
Seat hight: 810mm
Also saw the optional central stand and ABS. About the bike I have to say it looks kind of small in flesh.

Well, not that 12% is an exact figure for difference between crank hp and rear wheel Dynojet hp, but if using 12%, 190 at the crank would correspond to 167 at the rear wheel.

All of which still means = nothing, until I see the dyno chart.

I agree.
Unless one rides around at 12,000 rpm all day it won't mean much.

If it's tuned for more mid-range it should get better fuel mileage.

If this bike only makes a few more hp than the litre bikes there will be much disappointment. One can talk all about the power curve, but with an engine this big and technically sophisticated Kawi should have both huge power with a fat curve. But perhaps we should look at the 14 as the progression of the zzr1200 rather than the 12R. Heres hoping Suzuki swings their big stick with the 07 Busa

dont worry that new 14 will absolutly blow away that 10 untill you both let out of the throttle

some people just don;t get it.
Peak is a trade off for mid and bottom.
More mid and bottom will be a trade off for peak.
Peak is good for track only.
Some day you might understand internal combustion engine, design and dynamics.
Until then racing a zx14 with your literbike stock vs stock, roll ons and drags, will have to suffice, as the first lesson in " torque 101".
Have you ever raced a 600 with your literbike?
Notice how the 600 is right on your tail? Roll ons you leave 600 behind, unless 600 down shifts?........... By then you just gained more ground?
He's always a gear lower ,and his bike is screaming?
Notice how tired you are after a FULL days ride on your literbike?
Notice how difficult it can be to hold the throttle wide open in 1, 2, 3 gears because its wheelying violently?
The zx14 has lower center of gravity, longer wheelbase with more front biased weight placement.
These are the differences between the zx-14 and zx-10.
The same idea as comparing a 1999 literbike with a 1999 busa.
The new liter bikes produce alot of peak but are about 25-35 ft/lbs shy on torque compare to the zx-14.
Hopefully the zx14 you decide to race has a decent pilot,..... to help you understand!!!!!

Sorry dub, just not impressed with Kawi's recipie(if the info on this thread is true) for sucess. If your torque obsessed you might want to check out Kawi's big 2000cc cruiser, should have more torque at much lower rpms than the 14, or perhaps stuff a small block chevy engine in a custom drag chasis.
