Something to think about..
For years now I have been thinking that the government may step in one day and put a halt on these hyperbikes... Back in 97 with the Blackbird was introduced Honda had some kick ass television adds for the blackbird. It really got a rise out of several people. Then when the Hayabusa was introduced in 99 it just fueled the fire.. Then in 2000 when the government step in and told the manufactures that they needed to limit the speed on the bikes or they were going to make it mandatory. First thing I did was go out and buy a 2000 busa (thinking that it might be worth something ) since it was the last year of the non restricted motorcycle and also was the last year the speedometer when to 220 mph.. Well it didn't increase the value or anything thank goodness because it was stolen.. In several places around the world there is horsepower restrictions. Sucks for them. I was told just a simple cut of wire or something easy fixes it.. And now Kawasaki is sneaking this 14 to market and for some reason not releasing any specs. It does takes some balls for Kawasaki to go to market with a hyperbike today... Could this be the icing on the cake? I think there will always be a way to have a fast bike in the future but will there be consequences on altering the bikes from there original state? Sort of like if you have a semi auto gun. And you can buy the pieces to make it fun but if you get caught with them assembled your fucked... I have been thinking these thoughts for years. Since I love motorcycling and need speed like a crack head needs crack.. What are you thoughts??? Think it will happen??? Or am I just crazy?

Similar to what I meant when i wrote "a conspiracy" earlier in this forum.
I take offence to anyone who wants to inhibit my freedoms.
Kawasaki fully undestands the political implications from their experience in 2000.
The zx-12 was neutered and the govt may try to impose on our rights once again.
FTM.

I don't care about the speed limits, you will get fined anyway.
It's the acceleration that gives me the thrill.
That's not illegal anyware.
The limit is tire technology rather than torque/hp or any legislation.
I can't afford the 1001hp Bugatti Veyron thus a motorcycle
in my dreams it's the Kawa ZX14R Turbo
(or similar Busa - I don't care or fight about labels/marks)

I agree, top speed is not a real concern for me......... just how quickly it gets there!!!!!!!!!!!
...................to top speed.
......faster is better, quicker is best!
