Proper Breakin Procedure

I was wandering if I could get Doug or Mr. Muzzy to explain to us how you go about breaking in a fresh engine with out a dyno?
Heat cycle??

Vary rpm for 200 miles and then BEAT IT!! Always done it that way with my bikes and they have responded with great power numbers.
