a conspiracy

Kawi is holding back performance figures cause the governments, insurance companies, and other manufactures will be crying for a HP restriction, just like they did top speed in 2000.

And I'll already be the proud owner of the most obsurdly, devastating adrenaline rocket before restrictons take place for 2007!!!

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Why?
Are there any limits for turbos?
Nope!
IMO: wrong theory.

The correct theory is that they don't want Suzka to know =>
not easy to release a new HayaBugly 2007 prematurely in the summer 2006
Opinions?

What do turbos have to do with the production ZX-14 or 2007 Hayabusa?

read the initial post

"Kawi is holding back performance figures cause the governments, insurance companies, and other manufactures will be crying for a HP restriction, just like they did top speed in 2000."

turbos can double the figures and yet they are not forbidden

I still don't really understand what you may be implying.

Is it that you expect a 2007 production bike to be a turbo with more hp?

Or are you saying that the fact that a pretty small number of homebuilt (so to speak) bikes having turbos and high hp didn't trigger legislation, proves that production bikes having hp beyond some amount won't trigger legislation?

Not that I think the non-release of hp figures for the ZX-14 has anything to do with legislation. I just haven't gotten what turbos have to do with it?

Que?

There haven't been any production turbo bikes since 85.

AND....

Seems like when insurance companies find out that ya added the hairdryer option to yer ride, they cancel yer ass (kinda like trying to insure a Baja Bug when ya just tell em it's a regular Bug).

....lost in translation vpn....there are almost no limits for the aftermarket and what they're allowed to do or choose to do....

busa turbo's have nothing to do with mass produced production machinery.

The gov't did limit top speed, and I would venture to say that if they found somebody producing a mass produced, relatively inexpensive, machine that any teen weeny could buy , capable of hitting double the national speed limit within 1 or 2 city blocks, they might very well decide to do something about it.

The governments did not fully realize what was on the showroom floors, in 1999, and when they did it was too late.
Then they heard Kawi was building something faster they blew a gasket.
Kawi has made some very bold statements about the accelleration of this bike.
I beleive they will follow through with something that stomps the busa.
They had better cause most people only have to eat shit once, to realize it stinks.
I hope it produces 195 rwHP, and weighs 450 lbs, and I hope that nobody tries to legislate our rights, but it could very well happen.
