zxlnt's quoted rates are just about what I pay per YEAR on my ZX-12r for full coverage, so yes, I believe him. And yes, mine is through State Farm. So is my house, 3 vehicles, 3 motorcycles and life insurance policies.

Curious what people are paying currently.
I have USAA - but they don't insure motorcycles anymore - they "shipped" me to Progressive and was told 2200 full coverage - Hey, I'm 43, license to drive motorcycles now for over 20 years, perfect record, etc.... Did some shopping around and got GMAC to cover me for 642 per yer (full coverage, with 250 deductible).
Anyone beat that on ZX-14 - I haven't checked GEICO yet - willing to try.

I'm at $292/6 months w/State Farm. Full coverage, just outside the Atlanta, GA area. Had to make a couple claims in the last couple of years, though. That hurt my rates.

I have state farm as well, with a 500 dollar deductable my insurance is 248 a year full coverage. They go by cc's and not what type of bike it is. I have my cars and house with them as well. My busa was 238 a year(smaller cc's)

+1 on State Farm. If your driving record is decent and you have good credit, State Farm will give you reasonable rates in most areas.
To anyone that believes the "Ninja" sticker has anything to do with insurance rates...
Some insurance companies base rates off displacement and others base rates off model numbers/designations. Actuaries could care less if there is a sticker on the side of the bike that says "Ninja". To them, the bike is a ZX1400A regardless of any stickers on the bike.

Just bought my 14. I SHOULD of had a DUI on 3 year driving record till 7/08. Did NOT show up on drivers record, told insurer I had one up front. He said ok, let's go with clean record. 37 and have had MC endorsement for almost 20 years. This is a different company than my car insurance so I didn't stack them. 134 for liability only. Chose 430 for Liabililty and Comprehesive. 1300 for full coverage. Said just change quickly on internet during riding months to full and back to Comp over winter. Good deal.

I'm 30 years old, and the 14 with 100/100deductibles is only $30/month with State Farm, FULL COVERAGE! I plan to pick up the '08 soon and that's what he told me. I'm paying $20/month now...so it only went up $10 more for the new ZX14.

I know a guy that pays $15-$30 a month for full coverage on his Busa and he said it was full coverage. Here is the catch. He is 60+ years old, Vietnam vet, retired law enforcement, and prob. good driving record with great credit. Yes some insurance companies use your credit score as a factor too!
I went to Allstate around March of this year to get a qoute on my Busa. The agent was my old US History teacher from high school and he asked what model and make the bike was. When I told him he said "Uh Oh" Pulled out a sheet with "Vechicles not Insured" wrote on the top. Lord behold zx12,zx14,GSX1300R was damn near at the top of the list.
I have heard of people having these bike insured with them though, so I don't know what the deal with that is.

As I posted above, I'm just like that and I'm 30. No vet, no retired gov't worker. Just 1 ticket. With $100 deductible on comprehensive and collision. Dayton, OH is not only where BROCK is at, but where good bike insurance rates are with State Farm.

i pay if it matters $520.00 a year for my zx14 2007 $250.00 de-duct full coverage...with 100 grand uninsured....It also has a bit to do with who your agent is and there adjustments...I also have 3 other bikes a boat a motorhome and 2007 toyota 4 runner and a 2006 jeep wrangler with state farm...If you can't afford it just bank a little for crashes...unless of course they require it where you live....Here in washington state...it's only if the bike is worth more than 15 grand MSRP...Thank the punks who cant ride next time you visit your insurance collector..

It actually gets pretty cold out here during the winter and we have had a good steady rain for the past week too.
I still have my NC insurance so I don't worry about how it is here for now (My bike is still back home). I paid my 01 busa off some years back now so all I carry is liability. I will buy my next bike (08 Busa or ZX14) cash so I can do the same. I estimated that I spent around $6,500 or more during the period that I had fulll coverage. I could have done some other things with that money. Hell! I never filed a claim.
I hate the hassel that is involved when I try to go look at bike at the stealership sometime with the sales people around trying to pressure sale something.
