Observations

Strangely enough, I liked the red better than the other 2 colors.

Even stranger, my other half liked the bike enough to give it her stamp of approval - this has been noted and will be useful as a "gentle" reminder at time of purchase.

No ABS for the US market?

It will need a double bubble windscreen.

I think the bike needs a (cosmetic or otherwise) redesign from the tank back - as clean as the 10's tail is, the 14 looks blunt and like an afterthought.

There is a boatload O space above the rear wheel - looks like lowering the bike won't be difficult.

The rear seat cowl really fit like crap on the blue bike - not too sure how that's gonna look from the rear when properly installed.

Bike felt INCREDIBLY light.

That is all (for now).

I like red, it is the color of my 2 Z28's and 12, but I prefer the 14 in black.

Seriously dood - now I know why other people have mentioned it.

Bike felt lighter than my 10 does when it's down to the last gallon of fuel.

I understand that there are what, 30 pounds of fluids not in the bikes?

I was quoted (unofficially) a weight of 475 dry.

475 dry weight sounds more than doable (the rumor of 440 lbs dry I don't believe), that's 17 lbs lighter than a dry honda blackbird (492 lbs). Also thought It should be noted that if the weight is balanced correctly, the bike will feel even lighter than what it actually is compared with bikes that have their weight centered higher up such as the ZX-12R. This should also effect handling to some degree and SHOULD make the entire package easier to live with.
People are knocking this bike and I don't understand why, any new bike should (in theory) be better than what's already on the streets. I understand the styling isn't to everyones liking, (I don't like the looks of Busa's or ZX-12R's). THE ZX-14 IS GOING TO BE GREAT, they'll see!
