Since this was brought up... and I'm sure I'm gonna piss someone off, but that's what I do best, right?
Why do we need to pay $25 for a $10 t-shirt (plus postage) with marketing material added? How about offering a simple $5, $10, $15... or whatever amount donation to your paypal account to support the site? I'd do that in a heartbeat, even in light of the beating I took last month... this is a good, informative site and deserves our support.
I've already got dozens of t-shirts that I hardly ever wear that just end up going to the local shelter once I get tired of them taking up space...

Or not... this site doesnt accept donations. Fuck them owners.
How about sending some money to Star Sanitation for the mess this site made in one of their facilities!!

One of the best T-shirts I own, that Bikeland tshirt. Chicks dig it. Of course I do have one that says smoke crack and worship satan which I do so love. Not the crack or satan but the 2 of them together on a tshirt is pretty cool. I used to really like my WHITEBOY tshirts but people think that is racist for some reason. Explodingdog.com has some pretty cool shirts too.
My Bikeland stocking cap is cool and warm too!
If you come here and haven't bought a hat or tshirt, you a looza yo!

Matt,
The shirts are sold at our cost. The price includes shipping anywhere in the world. US postage has run us between $6- $10 per shirt. We do not, and will not accept donations of any kind from members. This site presents a level playing field where no single member has more or less "pull" or "cred" than any other because they "donated" or basically paid to play. That means that you are no different than Doug Meyer, Rob Muzzy, Kerry Bryant or the countless other industry professionals who post and partake here.
That's why we dont take money.
If you want to help out, buy a shirt and help clear off my credit card. I paid for the shirts in good faith knowing that members would buy them and that, yes, chicks would dig them.
So if you want to help buy a shirt.
We are not here to make money off our brother's backs. This is a club and you're all members.
As for the rational that paying somehow gets rid of flame wars etc, that's simply not true. I could easily block this site to lurkers as we have in the past. This makes no difference.
It's the people that make the place.
Did I mention buy a shirt so I can clear out my basement and my Visa card?
That especially goes for Varooom!

thx Matt and Varoom... I'll get them out to ya's ASAP!
no .. it isnt an exchange thing... its a quantity thing combined with a quality thing... if you want high quality low volume (ie: less than 1000 shirts) it's gonna cost more to make.
