Some good reviews and this thing will sell like hotcakes. Good reviews and the aftermarket will follow. Good reviews, and we just might see a "R" one of these days. Its all in Kawasakis hands with the marketing. what is kawi willing to spend? Will they jump back into drag racing? Will they air some prime time commercial spots. Will they spend a bit of cash on injecting these things into the latest videos(on M tv)? Will they do more than just come up with some lame commercials>>>how about a commercial that makes you talk to your friends about it(i.e. "Hey man, did you see that commercial last night during the game? Than new Kawasaki was smoking hot...etc") How about paying some of these rags to actually do a cover story on it(unbiased of course). How about every other freekin' page like ICON Gear???? Gotta spend money to make money. Kawi really needs to be agressive and get after that ass. Sponser a stunting tour? Win more races? Whatever it takes, Flood the market with Greeeeeen!

If the 14 turns out to be the fastest in the land for 06 then kawasaki won't have any problems selling them. Like the hayabusa, in MOST peoples eyes they are UGLY, but they sell. Why? Because most magazines say they are the fastest. (note: I'm not saying that - the mags are or have been)
I agree totally with this statement.

UK and Europe rags have always loved the ZX-12R and the magazines in the U.S just bash the hell outta the beast.
Damn the American magazines
I travel 60 miles to a Barnes&Noble to buy UK magazines just so I dont have to read the drivel from our U.S magazines.

Why does an island with much less population than our country and -- from the sales figures they report -- not so much bike sales, put out so many more bike magazines than our country does and the WORST of theirs (whatever that might be) is incomparably better than the best of ours (Roadracing World excluded, but even it would be just okay in Britain.)

Only one ZX model per market. With the US getting the ZX-14 and the other markets getting the ZZR1400, it only makes sense that they keep the ZX-12R over there.
