190 rear tire for ZX-14... what message does that send?
According to MCNEWS.COM.AU, the ZX-14 will come with 190 rear tire.
Perhaps this is a sign that Kawasaki is aiming for sharper handling than y'all have been giving credit for.
And did you spot that rear caliper?
Or those front Nissins, quite a bit lighter than Tokicos?
Maybe there's going to be a surprise on the handling front.

Busa tire is a 190/55/17 but it measures like 196 across or something. Not all 190's are created equal...

Agreed, the nominal size can differ from actual. The Honda CBR1000RRRRR "190" tire is actually as wide as the ZX-12R's stock 200.
What I thought this suggested, supposing that the tire actually is of typical 190 width, is that Kawasaki may have considered it a real priority to sharpen the handling compared to the 12R and at least in this point has done so, even at cost of advertising hype (as they had previously, for the 12R. touted the 200 tire as a sales point.)
