I think some simple exchange fairings would get this bike back on track for what zx12 owners are looking for as a replacement. We are NOT ZZR guys and that is the root of the disappointment.

Agreed... and it looks like the real "offenders" (or at the least, not-cared-for points) are the tailpiece/seat/subframe and the lower cowl.

Though initial impressions of the upper cowl weren't favorable, actually it does seem that with a suitable lower cowl and tail the bike looks perfectly fine with the new upper cowl.

The tailpiece/seat/subframe is not that big a project, probably, if simply adapted to use 12R pieces or in the case of the seat and subframe, probably adapted 12R pieces.

A new lower cowl that would match up properly with the upper while having suitable lines, and a reasonably complete bottom, would be more of a project but not out of line whatsoever for those skilled in these things.

No offense but thats just down right nasty........... If you think you can out do the
Japanese designers at Kawasaki that have been seeling beautiful bikes for
decades then your mistaking. Yes I do like to be different so choice and custom
parts are nice but lets not butcher it. Then again it is the individual choice that makes
it nice to be different..................

Vak, what's up here? Are you that bored that you've got to search up some very old, tired threads and bring them back to life? Man, I remember our old buddy 238...
