I'll be interested in that.
Actually I have an ABS idea that I want to try out: having one brake hose run same as presently, straight from master cylinder to one front caliper, but have the other go into an ABS system, assuming that there's a good system out there that takes its input post-master-cylinder.
The merit of this would be, there's one rotor that I have total control of and can do whatever the hell I want with it and 100% have the feel of. No ABS between me and that rotor.
However, the computer can react faster than man (this is a fact) and can in event of wheel decelerating way more rapidly than the bike and therefore on the way to lockup, wheel slip past what one could ever intentionally want because it's past what gives maximum decelration, it can relieve pressure on ONE rotor. Which ought to be sufficient if I also do my part.
In other words, adding some cat-like-reflex assistance in giving a little back-off when actually beneficial, but generally still leaving the braking to the rider and leaving absolutely direct contact for half the front.
That is if it would also be light and an elegant system.
Not interested in ABS systems as they presently seem to be, and particularly not BMW's "brake by wire" (which it pretty much is) system.
