I thought for sure with the advent of the 650/700 v-twin 4 wheeler there'd be something on the chalk board. Have you had the chance to ride the new 700?? Fricken awesome!! To hell with a gear box, you'd be to busy shifting to have any fun!! Big power.

If you guys haven't ridden the 700 couch, you may want to before you buy it. I'm a kawboy through & through, but she ain't no Glamis winner....

Raptor, YFZ, Banshee, TRX400, TRX450, DS650, are the best all-around sport quads (provided that's what your looking for...).

just pick up a KTM and paint her green.
The new KTM is trick. alot of thought has gone into it, the battery is positioned under the motor. Remove two bolts and the skid plate hinges down and the battery slides down.
It's $$$$$

swft........the V-Force/ Prairie 700 engine is a VERY light weight compact design...picking this engine up and moving it is very easy for one peson.

Only problem is...this engine was designed purely as an automatic design....not to say that it couldnt be re-designed for other uses.

Both the V-Force and the Prairie 700 are really fun machines to ride...The V-Force needs larger diameter wheels and or tires to help transfer all that power to the sand. The V-Force is having 100% success in Pro GNCC racing in all classes that it is eligible for.......more and more people are switching to it for GNCC style racing....I may be racing one in the Elsinoe GP in 2 weeks.

Maybe it was the auto tranny that looked big then...Good luck with your racing!

Kawi WILL have a v-twin d/p bike - a green 650 V-Strom! After all, I have a green DR-Z 400! i don't know at all if this is true, but seeing the way the Kawi-Suzi merger (or whatever you want to call it)is going, I expect it.

Good idea but not a V-Strom pig dog.

Something along the lines of the Honda XRV 750 but about 80 pounds lighter. If you are building an "adventure touring" bike make it at least look the part. The V-Strom is disgusting and the Varadaro (spelling?) isn't much better.

The good things about the KLR650 is that it is reliable, not too much of a hand full in the dirt and can take some off road abuse. I put 12000 k on mine. Decent to drive on the highway(but not faster than 110 km/k), it went everywhere my XR650R has gone(but slower) and survived not only my constant falling off but even when my wife backed into it, pushed it on its side and then pushed it 3 feet up the street there was no damage other than scraped bar ends! Try that with your Tiger/1150GS/V-Strom without crying!

I've given up on Kawi. All they had to do was take the front end which they were producing anyway, from the KLX650, use a better shock and spring on the back and they'd have a better off road KLR. I mean how much would that have cost them?!?!?!?!?!

The weight difference on the KLX400/Suzuki 400 isn't enough for me to trade in or sell the XR650L for.

I would like to pick up a cheap KLR250 and stick on a better front and rear end though. That liquid cooled 250 motor is seriously underated. Tough as nails bike but a bit heavy.
