WTF IS THIS????
...ordered some stuff from a DP bike outfitter...this is my 'adventure' as posted on 'another channel'...
Ho-lee Shit!
...what a joke...I just ordered a whole bunch of $$$$$TUFF from DualStar...spoke with a dude on the toll line...fast talker...anyway, he couldn't tell me my order amount and says, "cuz' I don't have a computer in front of me"...tells me that everything except one item is in stock (and I'm thinking "how would he know if he doesn't have a computer to check stock in front of him?")...tells me "we'll be shipping it out as soon as we can"...so I ask him, "What do you mean 'as soon as we can?'..."...tells me they should go out TODAY...cuts me off a couple of times because 'someone's beeping' him...
...ok, ok...I know...I've about read the poor quality of service from DS on this board before, so I guess I had been warned, but decided to give them a shot anyway...and I, too, had managed a very large warehouse and did telephone tech/sales from the warehouse and I know how the phone rings sometimes...but gimme a fukkin' break...THE MOST IMPORTANT CUSTOMER IS THE ONE YOU'RE TALKING TO RIGHT NOW AND WHO IS ORDERING A SHITLOAD OF STUFF!!!...
...so I ask him, "Will I be notified of back-orders?"...and he says, "No, not usually...we'll just send it postal when it comes in...doesn't cost much."...and I ask him, "How will you send the items out?"...he says, "UPS"...
...you only have one chance to make a good first impression...and...I'm not impressed at all...should I have just said 'forget it'?...maybe...but we'll see how this 'adventure' goes...I'm pretty tolerent...up to a point...rant over...
...man, I hope they do me right...or there'll be one pissed off mofo...

Trust yer gut.... don't waist yer cash. Unless you don't have enough stupid people to deal with at work - and you want to deal with them on your time off!!!

...did I mention that I actually received everything I ordered last week except the billet mirror mounts that are on back order?...I think the guy who was taking my order was harried and the guy who was able to answer my tech questions was more calm...they need at least a bi-weekly meeting to get their 'customer service' mojo...that first impression can be a bitch for some...but the damage had already been done...
