dp ride okanagan area
fellow dirties;
could you suggest some dp rides in the okanagan area of british columbia? perhaps an area ranging from princeton to rock creek and north as far as say merrit to vernon. i have never ridden dp in that area and need some expert advice on the best rides thereabouts. i am planning to do this with a couple of buds who are also unfamiliar with the area in september. lucky me i gotta plan the ride, that is why i humbly ask for your guidance in making this a ride to remember for all the right reasons. death and dismemberment not quite what i have in mind, probable should i plan this on my own. thanx

Unfortunately this forum seems to be moribund. Oh well, I'll come with you and we'll just follow our front wheels

Just did the Routledge run last weekend. From Harrison to the Coquihalla was all dirt, then about 10ks on the Coq. and the rest of it was on dirt.
Easy riding even for a 650 and plenty of logging roads to get the front and back end slidding !! The last section into Coalmont is especially nice for power sliding and backing it in!
All I've got is the roll chart directions which for me take away from the ride. I can get the GPS settings etc and I've got a map here somewhere.
Failing that, google GVMC and go to one of their meetings and ask for Ted or Tom Timmerman. Theres a meeting tomorrow night that I have to go to
and there's the Mystery Creek dual sport run this weekend.
A good bunch of guys in the dual sport part of the GVMC. No egos or formalities, just bull shit and beer.
