Do you wash your plate?

My license plate is now a lovely mud colour. Hosed down the bike but don't have the heart to clean the plate. I can see it now. $350 fine for obstruction of a license plate.

...if the cop's a dick, you'll get a ticket...honest cops can use that 'probable cause' to stop a vehicle that they desperately want to stop if no other PC is present and only if that particular PC is indeed present, ie. gangbangers cruisin' around looking for 'opportunity'...its a legit way to stop and contact and go from there ...besides, its just a fixit ticket anyway around here, and if it can be immediately fixed on the spot (wipe it), why write it in the first place?...a friendly warning will do

...but I know where your mind is with this...LOL
