Short notice ride.

Probably leave around 10:00 on June 1 for some logging roads out by Cultus Lake and then cross the border for some of the same near Mt Baker. I'll take the paved back roads out there so no freeway.

Will check the board before I go.

I still havent left yet LOL! Started watching the WSB races, then went to put Slime in my rear tire and I've lost the tube that comes with the bottle.

I give up. Oh well, I don'thave to be home at any specific time today so I can leave as lait as I want.

"lait" I must be typing in French now!

Good ride. Felt good to get the bike sliding on the loose stuff. The XRL feels a lot like my DR but bigger. I can't say the XRL has more hp than the DR350 though, but then the airbox mod, exhaust and the DR being the off road model probably had a lot to do with it's speed. New Pirelli on the back makes it really hook up. I went down this single track and as it got deeper in the bush, I thought about being there by myself and I really should turn back, just in case. Got the thing turned around..huff and puff. Then realized that the way back was very steep, wet and soft. Uh Oh!

The tire hooked up and I had barely any wheel spin all the way up!! Beautifull scenery as the fire road runs parallel with the Nooksack river. Too bad it was socked in as theres some spots up there that I bet the view is beautiful. Next time I go there will wait for a clear day and take the digital camera.

Just saw this now. I guess this means I'm too late? LOL!

I'm up for it today though. Yesterday was a write off as we had new windows put in the house. Workers everywhere so I spent the day in the garage. Can't believe how stiff and sore I am from working on the bikes.
