What kind of stand does anyone use for lifting their bikes up for tire removal etc ?

My neighbour used a milk crate with a log...

there must be a better way!

Yep, milk crate and with the other bikes I use a floor jack with a piece of wood (to add heighth and prevent scrapes) with a safety stand.
