I ride this road everyday in the summer on the way to work, Hwy 20 north cascades right past my house. I am a EMT for the local fire department and we scrap up more harleys than any other bike. Looks slow to me !

At 6:19 is the diablo lake turn off, from the beginning of the video to 6:19 is only 7 miles. I drive that in my Yaris in 4 minutes, Slow ass riding, So the entire video is about 10 miles. On my 14 from tunnel 2 the short tunnel and across gorge lake is 160 mph i would guess they where doing about 70. But it looked like a sunday because of the traffic going west bound, Great road during the week, weekends are busy. Thats about a 2 minute ride on my 14, from o to 6:19. When i get a chance this summer i will do the exact same video on my 14 for comparison. Then on my goldwing.

...anyone with inferior skills who pushes an HD to keep up with a good rider on a razor-sharp handling sportbike will suffer like a fool...I say ride an HD within its design parameters and you'll be fine...cruisng at less than sportbike high-speeds were what they were designed to do...its not the bike, its the rider...

Yea ! Thats why we see so many harleys off the road here. I hear it all summer long "This is my first bike"
I understand your "design Parameters" comment, But, whats the point of buying a inferior product that cost's 80% more than it's worth, Rather have a Jap cruiser. All in the name i guess.
Jap cruiser will spank a harley on any platform. Stock !
Ashame they suck so bad , Can buy three jap cruisers compared to one V-robbed.
My goldwing is not designed for carving, but i have spanked so many squids on it i lost count. Dont even try harleys, I just catch up to them every few miles and get around them before parts fall off. LOL !

"Fast Harley's", title of video, is an Oxymoron.
Why do men buy Harley's?
1. Brain Buckets, engineering boots, chaps, leather vests, tassell's, wallet chains, don't look good on Sportbikes.
2. Most them are too fat to ride Sportbikes.
3. Their women are too fat to ride bitch on Sportbikes.
4. Their reaction time, reflexes is too slow for Sportbikes.
5. A Harley can wind out all the gears and sound cool with loud pipes and still not be speeding in most places, just making alot of noise.
6. Sportbikes break the speed limit 2nd gear most places in just a few seconds.
7. Harley's are lower and easier to ride with a fat drunk woman behind you after a long day of bar hoppin.
8. You can't go to a Ford Dealer and buy a $60,000.00 truck with "Jap Bike" plastered all over it.
9. You can spend all day walking around a Harley Shop looking at cloths, jewelry, rugs, wine glasses, beer mugs, stuffed animals and countless items with H-D on them and consider it a days ride, it's cool, all your friends saw you there.

I don't know about your sportbike but mine doesn't need to shift out of first till 106mph. That is not only breaking the speed limit, but jail time.
As for the title of the video, "Fast Harleys tear up Highway 20". The only tearing up that will happen is when one of them falls off and gouges up the pavement.

I took my street tracker out for the first time this year and got behind a Harley going up the Virgina City highway, not a dresser just one with leather bags,clear windscreen, and straight pipes. At 45 (the speed limit) the thing was wollowing and scraping lots of hard parts. These are the same corners I might take at 90-95 on the ZX10. Point being the Harley was at it's limit and anything in the road that would have caused the harley to have to lean more ..... the rider would have been on the ground. That is just dangerous.

Uh the guys doing stunts would beg to differ. Let's see a hardley do a stoppie.
Also the guy on the beemer did it without having to drag things on the ground to help him turn.
