Your Deals Gap Secrets
There are some folks that only know one road there, The Dragon / 129. Fortunate ones go for several days and have the time of their life as there are many fun places to ride that make the Gap look like childs play. On weekends and Holidays the Gap is a mad house with cruiser bikes and cops a plenty and don't forget the tourists in cages that stop in the middle of the road to take pic's.
One of the dangers is 18-wheelers, when you see one think of how much room they need to turn a corner before you try to pass it either direction, it's common for them to use your lane, just give them room.
Google maps is your friend study it and make little copys of special areas of interest. One of my favorite rides is that stop sign next to the Gap gas station, Hwy 28 to Franklin, 64 back to Murphy.
