Sims MotorSports Releases Fender Elminator for 08' / '09 Hayabusa - 12R & 14 Next

Tired of staring at the painful looking back end of the latest incarnation of the Hayabusa? Sims MotorSports is here to help. Created by Richard Sims - famed tuner and the mind behind Muzzys Performance products bits for the last umpteen years - Richard, along with his son Ryan are making a go of it on their own.

The 'Busa bracket cleans up the back end of the bike, following the lines of the big 1300. Made from lightweight 0.120" aluminum and anodized black, the Fender Eliminator is available through Schnitz Racing ( www.schnitzracing.com ) and retails for $46.95 USD. Ryan tells Bikeland that "it uses all stock hardware, and has full color instruction sheet."

Ryan also adds that "in the works is a new 24volt starting system for big bore bikes that hooks into the original starter system and is operated by the regular starter button, our system allows charging of the second battery while not in use without flipping a switch like current systems."

Schnitz will debut the 08-09 Hayabusa kit at the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis this weekend.

Sims MotorSports has plans for more kit, including an eliminator for the ZX-12R and the ZX-14.

Stay tuned!

How does a Hayabusa fender eliminator become front page material? Just curious...

If I'd pay for it with my own money - then I'm willing to tell people about it

I really like this fender eliminator - the product would benefit the membership as they will be producing a 14 and 12R elminator, therefore it's on the frontpage. There's also some significance to this that makes it a little bigger than just a fender eliminator...

not sure how or why Sims creating a fender eliminator is significant. But to head the thread in a different direction - Sims was big news back in the day "Muzzy" enjoyed major sales of Kawasaki exhausts and was into sponsoring Kawi. My ZX9R had one

Sims on a Muzzy ZX9R:
