If I won the lottery, I might consider it. Always liked the looks and feel of the max. I know it would make my wife happier. She understandably hates the passenger seat on my 12.

Its a heavy pig.
Jack shaft drive really fux up handling.
a boulevard bruiser with no fuel range...
didn't they learn after 23 years?
Might make a nice second bike for me to cruise the wife and daughter around on though.
Add a mini backrest for passengers.
Would make a better cruiser than the M109 , or a Hardley.
I might put one in my garage for touring my daughter around, and city riding.
The 14 Turbo'd will not likely be left unattended, or parked in any parking lot at the office!
When are they scheduled for delivery?

I would have been interested in the bking if they wouldn't have taken the design to a cartoonist...
I like naked bikes, but the massive fake tank and jacked up ass really turn me off.
No doubt it will outcorner a Vmax though!

Let's even see if it can out do a C-14? You know, just your average SS tourer...
I do think it has a chance in the 1/4 mi., but what about handling?? They have had 23 yrs to make it do everything, and it better handle this time around. On top of that who is going to pay near 18 grand for this bike?? Yeah it looks cool,but where is the w/s? 150 on a bike without a shield has to be a rough ride...
If It did have a shield, at some point, since it is not frame mounted, might get a real bad headshake..
The b-king is ugly, they should have stuck to the proto (which was georgious), but somebody had to screw that bike all up.... There is one at my dealer from last year and they are trying to blow it out just to get rid of it..

i dont think it looks better than the old 1
& whats with making motorcycle exhaust bigger than those on a mack truck
for all the HP & weight..................................its SLOW

all the factory exhausts are bigger in comparison for the size engine than the older models. Its Al Gore and the tree hugger crowd forcing tighter emissions.
Thats why us non environmentalists take those stock cleanair exhausts off first order or business

i know some have the catalysts
yet many are overgrown as if they come from cartoons
many package their catalystsin smaller packages
the honda 1000rr....some of the previous zooks didnt have the factory smokestacks
its a styling thing

so this is what i know about the v max.
everyone that has one yet (vmax lovers) talks about how powerfull and squrily they are under power. and how they kicked a sport bikes ass at some point in time or a nother.
now do not get me wrong they are what they are. like my zrx1100 was. i let a guy ride it and he comes back saying dam it will rip your arms off mike there is no way the vmax can beat it. so i said well you stayed in town he said yes. i said you never went above 6000rpms he said yes. i said you never got out of 3rd on it he said yes. i then said that bike (mine) did its job like kmc wanted it to do. in a real 1/4 race it would of been me either winning or close.
i never saw one go faster than a mid 11 sec run.
in the heat the guys had a massive 107rwhp.
i like the way they sound they look 80s retro cool but almost everyone that has one thinks it will do a 10.28 in the 1/4 when they feel like showing up. do you guys get this also from the vmax owners (most of them anyway not all) it is like when the hondas 900rr came out. they had attitudes like their lite 112hp bike can rule the world.
most of it remindes me of a yz465/490 or it 465/490 owner all say verry fast god like power bla bla. the problem is they race me and friends on our cr500s and dam of their 42 hp tank is not just behind us cause they are heavy and not enough hp to play manure spreader and hook the dirt.(still can't believe it)

I beg to differ on the yz490 thing. I had an 82 that ran 4.4 seconds through the 100 yd sand drags. I used to smash the fuck out of K&T 7mm stroker banshees on a wheelie lol.GODZILLA LIVES! Maybe I was just riding the piss out of it and the people that you've ridden with weren't. Now, put them on a track and the yamahop will get you killed in a hurry lol. I own a 1990 vmax, and know that it would take a lot of work to put it into the 10's. A decent rider can put a stocker in the low 11.30's. add a pipe, stage7 jetkit, and a good tire and you're flirting with high 10's if you can get a low 1.6 60ft and trap 122 or better. I will say that the vmax pulls harder than any bike I've ever ridden. It's the straight up riding position that will allow for it to pull the muscles in between your shoulder blades. BTW, the guy that has my old 490 also has a CR500 and said that the 500 is more refined but pales in comparrison to the 490 in sheer acceleration. I guess that It could just be the primitave feel that you get from the old 490CC with bad brakes, worse suspension, and a 4spd tranny.

I can see it now ... Guys shows up at the track on a 18k Vmax and is going to kill all Busas and zx14s ...The Lite comes down and i'm at the end of the 1/4 mile and the Vmax has just made it to the 1/8 mark .. The guy on the Vmax makes a mad dash back to the Dealer yelling you sold me a lemon !!!! Damn guy on a red zx14 just killed me !!! You told me the Vmax was the baddest bike ever built and that i will own every busa and zx14 on the street or track ..I want my 18k back !!! The Dealer looks at him and laughs and walks away ......
Repeat 2500 times .....
