Safe Roads Safe Kids
Today marks the start of the 2008 Safe Kids Week -which runs from May 26 - June 1.

Research demonstrates that a child hit by a car traveling at 50 km/h has an 80 per cent chance of being killed.
Yet a child hit by a car traveling at 30 km/h, has up to a 95 per cent chance of surviving.
Most accidents occur between 3-6 pm when many Canadians are driving home from work.
Child pedestrian incidents are a leading cause of injury-related death for Canadian children under the age of 14.
