Kawasaki Recalls 33,365 2002 - 2008 KLR 650's
It's a good thing we read the newspaper! Spotted this buried in the back of today's local paper and it's the first we've heard of it! According to the NHTSA, Kawasaki is recalling 33,365 KLR 650's to have the muffler mounting bolts retorqued. If you're an off-road enthusiast, you've probably already checked stuff like this out on your own, but to be safe stop by your local Kawasaki dealer and get them to give your bike the A-O-K.
Details of the recall...

Model : KL650A Year : 2002 - 2007

is it just me, or are most of you thinking the same thing.......
if you haven't gone over your bike to check the tightness of ALL the bolts and fasteners since 2002, especially an "oh so smooth riding" duel, you deserve to have the muffler fall off, and it's a wonder that more hasn't fallen off.....SERVICE YOUR STUFF

buells were/are notorious for having parts fall off 'em (per the test riders in the mags)... its no big deal in my book... retorques and torque checks are a fact of life in my business
