A good friend of mine is having issues with his second gear being gone again. This would be the 3rd time that he has had it repaired. Is anyone having this problem awell. And also is the case magnesium or alumimum? Usalluly when he gets the bike back it works great for about a month before second gear just dosent work. Any help would be greatly apprected.

I've seen this problem with those several times before.

What do you mean by "gone"?. Could be a number of problems, some description would be helpfull. I had a 96 e mod. and it was bulletproof with a little bit of work.

My brother had the same problem out of his 92? i think but it had a very rough life from day one. lol All and all it was a good bike and fast for the day.

I mean by gone is it wont engage , it just starts clunking and banging when he clicks in to 2nd.but 1st and 3rd dont have a problem.

Shift forks, seem to recall that being typical for that mod engine.
