Road a brand new 2006 GSXR 600 on the weekend. It is an exelent bike in most ways but it doesn't seem to turn in as easly as older GSXR,s (2002,2003). Has something changed?

Dear stupid.
Don't snap yer throttle open at low RPM. It's hard on a new engine. Especially a big V twin or single. I puts a lot of load on the crank bearings when the oil pressure is low!

now that's a stupid thing to say to fish. he's never had an engine at low RPM. never ever. he uses an ourboard starter motor to bring it up to 5000 before he even starts it. man, don't u know _anything_?

From another source: gtecperformance.co.uk
Ever noticed that Ducati recommend that a service agent adjusts' the chain on their models?
Most important on the single sided swing arm models! The reason is simple, the pinch bolts should be torqued up.
Over-tighten the bolts and it compresses the rear wheel bearing causing pre-load, this in turn causes the bearing to overheat with obvious disastrous consequences! When your Ducati is serviced the axle should be removed, cleaned, inspected and re-greased.
This is a VERY important safety issue!

I cover my tach on the 600 from 0-8000 rpm. And when I can't see the tach needle means I'm not running the motor high enough.
track riding is the chiznit, but the silly chicks dig the ZX14~
