Lead acid battery in the KLR?

Who on earth decided it was a good idea to put a lead acid battery in the KLR. I noticed this on my KLR. It's a freakin dual-aport people....it's gonna bang around and such....and it's even a vented lead acid battery...It died on me and I replaced it with a sealed battery...

/e rant.

Dude! Rad! DUde!
Actually I glad the KLR has an old 50's style battery. Our's is over charging slightly and I need to add distilled water every 1000KM or so.
If your charging is good then the sealed is a better option.

I haven't noticed a problem with charging....but I feel much better with a sealed battery.
