It's all interesting stuff.
Lets throw some more out to test your knowledge (you'll know if you had to Google (aka Pull a Jet) to answer or if you knew the right answer).
- Name two things Kawasaki built before or during WWI.
- What does the emblem on a Yamaha stand for?
- What was the first thing Suzuki built and was famous for (in it's time)?

I think Wormie is on the right track.
- Kawasaki built war planes and engines for war ships during WWII.
Test a WWII war buffs knowledge about Japanese Zero's .
Kawasaki and Mitsubishi made some of the most awesome plane motors of the day.
- Correct. Tuning Forks.
They symbolize Yamaha's commitment to refined instrumentation. It shows in their musical instruments and their bikes.
- Suzuki's first claim to fame was their silk looms. If you've never seen the complexity of a silk loom, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Very, very complex machinery.
It still shows in their motors. Of all the motors I've rebuilt Suzuki's by far have the lightest bottom ends. I am certain that is from their breeding.

Yep, almost....
See, if we were as crazy as the zero pilots, when we saw a cop taking radar we'd aim our Ninja's straight at them and run into them at top speed.
Not good for living into ones golden years, but makes a hell of a statement. LOL
