I am a Fan of Duhamel and his Dad who always rode Kawasaki's. I cannot believe some of you guys!

AT the end of the race there were Ducati's, a Buell, Many Suzuki's, Yamaha's and Honda's. Actually there were very few "Kawasaki's" to start, but most of them made it to the Finish line.

So I guess that since the 2 FACTORY Honda's broke Kawasaki only came in 3rd?? as far as you a few of you are concerned?

There is a thing called "Race Strategy" specially in Long races. Some people take it easy on the engine and tires staying near the front so as the Jack Rabbits break and wear out they can move up! This is ALL Part of racing. Kurtis Roberts was very fast but he used up his tires all of the time and had problems finishing up front. 200 miles has never been considered a "Sprint Race" and many a fast bike has dropped out just before the finish. WHen this happend, they "LOSE" the race and the people that have the equipment to last and the Riders with the Skill to be up front and control the pace "WIN".

In the Old Days Suzuki 750 Water Cooled 3 cylinder and the Kawasaki 3 cylinder Water cooled were "ALWAYS" out in front ahead of the 350 twin Yamaha's. But who usually won the race?? The Yamaha 350 twins! I never heard one Kawasaki or Suzuki rider say, Yamaha did not win, we lost the race.

Kawasaki Won Hands Down and that is that!

Maybe having the Hooters Party and acting like winners before the race made them winners after the race. And Ricky Carmichael got a Bad start on his Suzuki and Bubba got a good start on his Kawasaki, SO I guess Bubba did not win because the Start was not even for both of them! Give me a Break!!

uh... uh... uh.. no... I guess you didnt watch the same race the rest of us did, nor can you read... look to the post above by PrincessKiwi and see the race order for every lap.. Rapp didnt NOT lead the pack for all of the race nor did he stay in the lead pack (I assume the "top 3") for all of the race.

Not true.

I think he is saying he was in the lead group of riders for the entire race, not in the lead.

Give it a rest with the "Negative Nelly" shit Oliver, it's in the books now.

Me too! I was sitting on either the van or rail or chair between the "International Hairpin) and the Signaling Pits. the entire day, There were to Large screens to watch also. Even if I was alseep I could not miss the Noise of the LOUD Speakers which now is like TV and someone trhinks that they have to talk ever second of time.

DuHammel had a Small lead when he broke. about 2 seconds at most which I think he pulled out to try to cover his Pit stop. His Bike stopped coming out of the InField and at first it seems like it was going to restart and then he laid it against the wall like I have seen so many other bikes do (But usually Late in the race). I would have more understanding of Fish's Position if DuHammel was leading with a few laps to go and had a gap that could not be made up and something stupid like a Back Marker hit him or some fan ran out on the track! So long as it was not an engine or Tire failure that kept him from winning!

It just occurred to me that maybe all of this from Fish because Duhammel is "Canadian"??

Well then he should have ridden what his dad rode!

Here it is ...looks like the princess for what ever reason did NOT include the whole lead pack just the front three. and the race I watched didn't look like Rapp was being left for dead by the Hondas, or anyone else for that matter. Ijust don't see how he can do such an excelent job in the must demanding race in the states and get so little respect for it .

Hey Fish.... was that double negative in there intentionally??!! "...RAPP didnt NOT lead..." that would translate into, did not, NOT lead.... which would mean that he DID lead. I think that you are leaving yourself an out from this rather poor argument. Also, when you look at the AMA and the amount of fans... it is obvious that we don't pay enough to keep the races going. It is all sponsors!! Although we as fans do get to enjoy the racing action... what is the primary reason for the racing? TO SELL BIKES.... that is why they are trying to win... for sales and bragging rites... So the ultimate winner is not really the rider... but the bike. Honda doesn't care what rider wins. They need to win. This being the case... they layed an egg!!! This 'game' is not about who you are loyal to to the manufacturers... their 'game' is about bringing in new buyers (money) They want last years Kawasaki guys to sell it and get the new Honda... they want the Yamaha riders to sell it and get a Honda.... Either way.. HONDA lost this one. If their bike doesn't finish... any way you look at it... THEY LOST.

yeah he may not have been in the top 3 for the whole race but he was pretty much in the top 6 and the separation between 1 and 6 position most of the time was smaller than a gnats widdler! and while we're here I'm gonna give a shout for Chaz Davies who rode bloody well and finished 4th. And the next time rossi wins motogp I'm gonna say 'crap victory cos agostini wasnt in it'!!!!!! Racing is all about teamwork not jus the rider...if the team gets it wrong there aint many out there who can ride out of a fuel/mechanical problem.

Top three don't mean much when there're six in the lead GROUP. I've seen draft passes go by five bikes at the line. So if it's such a fluke , which Honda won the race ,and why ? Duhamel ? Zemke ? Hayes ? Coulda' shoulda' woulda' ...and I feel a bit stupid for entering into this silly ass debate so ,I'm out and you may carry on .
