You're not giving the union money for nothing! The union bosses need to keep the maintenance up on their pools, mods for their ZX14's and such, you know.

No worries, after the union bargains your job wages all the way up to "OUTSOURCE", you won't have to worry about paying into them anymore!

Since all the dealers have a two year supply of Harleys and Harley hasn't introduced a new bike in 20 years. They could stay closed for two years and it would not effect anyone except the workers.
So typical of American Business men, FUCK THE WORKERS.
With the exception of a couple big companies that let the workers get away with murder and pay them too much. (Steel industry, car Industry, Mack Trucks)

If harley can do that...fine. Union workers are ALLOWED to strike. Employers are ALLOWED to lock them out. If harley can do better..fine. All the employees there are betting that they cant....pretty high stakes if you think about it. Before anyone strikes they have to weigh how replaceable they are, the more easily you can be replaced...the less intelligent it is to strike. Most of the people putting up with bullshit are lowskilled folks who are easil replaced. Here in new york , in the past year I believe at least 3 buildings have collapsed killing and injuring workers....all non-union jobs. How much is a guys leg worth? or a carpenters arm worth?...You union haters think not much...some of us think otherwise Im sure...Im bringing this topic to the front page to see.

Wow, I've never seen so much BS in one simple debate.

You guys that say fuck unions obviously never worked in big industry...No offense but how about coming out from under your shell and take a look as to whats going on in the real world, instead of yours!!!...Sorry but that is the only way of putting it !!!...DO NOT TAKE OFFENSE TO WHAT I SAID...

As I said in the other post, The unions keep it all balanced...Unions are good for both the employee and employer!!!...Except when there is an example to be made!!!...Even that situation sucks because there is no winner, both lose $$$

Unions USED to be good for employers and employees. Now we need China to keep our RECORD unemployment rate we enjoy today as a result of CHEAP labor so our economy can continue to prosper.

Unions- fortunately the few left will soon be gone.

Actually I have imported some engineers to help me with special projects. They are from all over, one guy is from India. Its amazing I can't find available American engineers.

So I suggest the blue collar guys should just go to the school house and learn engineering and come work with me!

Outsourcing is a fact of life and yes of course, my job may qualify very soon. I still need to complete my MBA ,and I'm leaning towards Technical Program Management as my next hobby...oops I meant job!

I have seen our economy prosper as a result of cheap goods and services. Outsourcing high labor costs is the main factor. Unions were a great thing in the past, but I don't bet our economy or my own future on them now. Look at what is happening.

It is hard to find engineers, I am looking for a good Windows programmer. And I don't seem to be having much luck. I am getting some bytes , but as soon as I mention device drivers I get that blank stare.

+1

Ya, we recruit engineers from all over the world. And we go through headhunters to contract them out to us (they're on work Visa's). They cost a fortune.
