It is a cool bike. I was tinkering with one this weekend. It was the all black road model I think. They have a cool trunk in sidecar, and a spare tire. Ural sends a dvd with maintenance instruction in english but they music is russian, ukranian polka.
These bikes were made directly off of the BMW design of world war 2 era. The russians stole the castings from germany upon invasion and somehow the ended up in ukraine I think and they are now making them calling them ural. They look fun I just wonder about he handling. The owner wouldnt let me ride his but was glad to have me help with his valve adjustment.

Yes, correct on the location. Interesting story how the economic boom that followed the collapse of the Soviet Union led to the demise of sidecar sales in Russia, but also allowed foreign investment and modernization of the bike, hence the export overseas.
