This Is What I Don't Understand about track day and racing schools?
During all the years between track days, and the (pro) racing schools that have been operating, why I'm I still picking Rossi every year for GP? Where are the American hot shots coming from if not from the road racing schools? No American dominating WSB even. Where is that one standout? Why the lag? You'd think there'd be an American squad dominating the GP podiums with all the years of training you have at American schools?
Is it the training, or the rider? I know it's not the bike. Rossi can champion any brand.
Too many questions I guess?

Perhaps these 2 scenarios might help explain.
Scenario 1
You are brazilian
You are good
You win everything in Brazil
Some big Brazilian corporation pays for you to get a ride in 250GP
You win the championship and get a MotoGP ride
Scenario 2
You are American
You are good
You win everything in WERA
You make the big move to AMA Pro and become a great American champion
Where are the American riders in WSS or WSB?
The top AMA racers are good enough to win there but don't go.
You can't just step in at the top level and expect to win or even be competitive. Nicky got the best bike and has only won on ther track he knows best.
Until American racers start going to Europe as a logical next step from AMA, there will never be another great era of American racers.
