I agree with what Morgan is saying. Kinda what we've all been saying on this thread.
Kinda what I've said ever since I was old enough to really weigh the issues out.
238 hit on something that I totally agree with him on, BET. If someone tried to establish a WET it'd be kaos, and labeled totally racist. If there were a Miss White America pagent, the black community would be in an uproar as well. It makes no sense to me.
Why can't people see that this labeling of things keeps racism alive and well. We've come a long way with this, but there is still a long hard road ahead.

there are certain elements on both sides of this issue that make gobs of money because of it.
Race baiters rake in the cash, and then stir the same racial hatred up when things calm down, to get their 15 minutes in the spotlight again.
They tried it in my home town, and failed miserably. Thankfully where i grew up was more of a "how's bob doing today" and not a "how's your black neighbor doing today"
Unfortunately those race baiters will downplay, denigrate, and outright lie about people like Morgan Freeman, Bill Cosby, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Ken Hamblin and any others that suggest that racism lives on because of continually pushing it in everyone's face. They will do anything to damage the credibility of ANY person of integrity(whatever their skin colour) that suggests that things are the way they are becuase of anything BUT "whitey"
Ever heard the term "Oreo" or "house negro", or the phrase "he sold his soul to the white man's world" applied to successful and wealthy and outspoken folks?
Thankfully there are groups and forums like this that have people that are MUCH more concerned about talking smack than what colour my skin is.

Kinda funny... blacks didn't seem to have a problem with me being the only white guy in the crackhouse. They still took my C note and I still smoked their crack.

ninjaman: does a kx-80 count for anything?
redelk: that's disturbing....but somewhat amusing in an off-colour way, yet i am disturbed because i found it amusing in that way. Did that make any sense? do i need psychopathic help?

I also agree with what Morgan said - to a degree.
While he is correct about 'black' history being American history, the public school system has not taught it as that. For 'black' history to become American history it has to be as familiar to us as the filtered version we were taught in school. If you've never watched any of the programs profiling people who made major contributions to North American society but were never mentioned in history texts, then you are unqualified to rebutt.
Why everyone is so wound up about BET is a mystery to me. Mainstream media caters to the majority of the population, which is still white despite all the hand wringing. Stations such as CMT, BET, APTN are music/lifestyle related, not exclusionary.

Slug the KX-80 totally gets you off the hook!!!
It also brings up a funny story. Back about 8 or 9 years ago my buddy Daniel, who was a sales manager at large Kawasaki - Yamaha dealership, brought a yz80 home. At this time he didn't even have kids yet, and I'm over at his house and saw that little 80. I asked him about why he had that thing, as he is a good sized fella like me. He said man it's a hoot to ride that little thing. Sure enough, we were having a blast with that thing 5 minutes later. Riding wheelies and roosting around his yard. Even got ot out on the highway and paced it with his Silverado, and if memory serves correct it ran an honest 60 - 65 mph in stock form. Anyways we had a lot of fun with that bike that day. I spoke to him a couple weeks after and jokingly asked had that 80 tossed him yet. He said no, but Joe ( mutual friend of ours) had some pretty bad road rash from it!!!! Turns out that ol' Joe got it out on the highway and was coaxing some high gear clutch wheelies out of it via a lot of body english and looped it out!!!! LOL Fuckered the little bike up pretty bad, and poor Joe was in bad shape for a few weeks with a lot of road rash, bumps and bruises. No broken bones though.
Which all brings me to this question..............do you ride the KX-80???? If so, watch yourself mister!!!!
And Red, I still have a hard time picturing you in a crackhouse. How did you quit smoking cigarettes long enough to roast a rock???? Or did you smoke both at the same time???
I'm glad you got off that junk Sherman.

Ahh yeah............. gotta show the youngsters the ropes.
I for one do not just dismiss these little bikes. When on the gas and up on the pipe they flat rip for their size, even with a full-growed redneck aboard. They are a wheelie lovers dream, and I can't wait till my boy graduates up to one.

Rick, I smoked both at the same time. I needed the ash from my cigarettes for my "Coke can" crack pipe. Maybe that's why I still.... NAAAAAAW!
Slug's right. As a mater of fact, the BMR team is currently wedging a Yamaha YZ85 motor into a Honda RS125 GP chassis to race in the CMRA Mini Endurance class. Would have stuck a Kawi 80 in, but the YZ motor not only bolts right in, but (I can't believe I'm saying this..), but smokes the KX80 motor... in THIS type of "application".
Note: "Application" meaning having fat old men take turns riding a tiny bike on a road course track for 4 hours.

Too funny Sherm, you're crazy!!!
The wedging of YZ85 motor into a Honda RS125 GP chassis sounds pretty interesting to say the least. Is the Sherminator going to be piloting said vehicle????
I bet that would be such a HOOT!!!!!!!!

I've been a real puss for two seasons and stayed in the pits and played pit bitch while the "fast boys" raced. Of course, the fact that the difference between my open track day lap times and thier's wasn't measured in tenths... but in TENS of seconds might have had something to do with it too.
Seeing as how the lap speeds of these "minis" are close to, but still under what I'd be doing on my 10R, I might actually give it a shot. Still, the average Mini with a GP chassis will tip the scales at 170 lbs. or less!
There are four Mini classes in CMRA:
Formula 4
GP chassis OK - 85cc 2-stroke water-cooled / 200cc 4-stroke water-cooled singles / 250cc 4-stroke air-cooled singles
NO GP chassis - 125cc 2-stroke air-cooled (pre-1995 dirtbike chassis) / Kawasaki EX250 / Honda VTR 250 / Buell Blast
Formula 5
GP chassis OK - 65cc 2-stroke water-cooled / 125cc 4-stroke water-cooled / 150cc 4-stroke air-cooled
NO GP chassis - 75cc 2-stroke water-cooled / 81cc 2-stroke air-cooled / 160cc 4-stroke water-cooled / 175cc 4-stroke air-cooled
Formula 6 - No GP Chassis in entire class
60cc 2-stroke water-cooled / 130cc 4-stroke air-cooled / 127cc 4-stroke air-cooled
Formula 7 - No GP Chassis in entire class
60cc 2-stroke air-cooled / 55cc 2-stroke water-cooled, YSR chassis only / 110cc 4-stroke air-cooled (can use YSR chassis)
So, there are all kinds of crazy bikes out there, like trick CFR110s to YSRs. Last season, there were 66 Mini Endurance teams. Besides the 2 and 4 hour Mini Endurace races, there are also Mini Sprint races as well! Here's a few pics of "men" wishing they were "boys". BTW - the lil' kids smack to old guys in the sprint races. Something about "rider weight" differences.
