Who can get me a Euro-spec ECU for an 05 ZX-6R?
this is in a review of the '05 ZX-6R, link is below.
anyone have any connections on getting a Euro-spec ECU?
"More power is always better, and for riders with this kind of thinking you might want to shop around for a European-spec ECU for your American or Canadian ZX. Kawi tells us that peak power of its North American versions is down about 5 horsies from the European models due to different ECU programming necessary to meet American noise regulation specifications, which differ (rpm, angle of sound meter, etc.) from Euro standards. The European bike makes its peak power 1500 rpm higher than the U.S, bike (at 14,000 rpm). Peak torque is unaffected. The all-stainless-steel exhaust systems are identical."

I can try seeing if I can dig it up myself later, but there's at least one British Kawasaki dealer that sells parts over the web -- it seems likely it would be as simple as click and get?
Also -- and this would be harder to dig up -- someone once posted a mod of how to get an American ZX-6R ECU to do the same. It was as simple as clipping or soldering a wire but I don't recall the details. Anyway you don't actually need a new ECU.

Yea there's a jumper wire mod or something for the 636 ecu. I seen it over on the 10r.net board. They have a fairly good 6 forum over there.

Hey, Beans, what did you end up deciding to do?
The before-and-after of the "jumper", btw (back in July, 0 miles on the bike):
