I had a late night last night and wasn't really planning to ride today but a friend called and wanted to hit the canyons. He said for me to take my time getting to the Rock Store he had a few things to do first.
Cool, I'll take the scenic route. I ride out Old Topanga and up Pacifico to Saddleback Peak. Taking my time, carving the turns. I saw a LEO on Mulholland so I know they are out and I'm minding my P's and Q's.
The speed limit on Saddleback Peak is 45 and I'm in no hurry to get tot he meeting spot but I come up upon a silver G35 not even doing the speed limit. He's yakking away on a cell phone drive maybe 38. We're in the tight "blind corner" section and I know cops are out and there is a bit of traffic on the road so I'm going to wait for the wide open section to safely pass this guy, if he doesn't let me by. After a turn or three he pulls to the side. I make a completely legal pass and I've him a "thank you" wave and I'm off. I notice he's up my tailpipe. Does this guy want to race? I pici up the pace a little bit. He's still up my a$$ and now he starts laying on the horn. Maybe he's trying to warn me of something on my bike. So I pull over and stop.
He stops about 5 feet from the back of my bike and starts yelling. I can't hear him there is his windshield in the way and I'm wearing a helmet and ear plugs. I step out to get over to his driver side window to find out what this guy is trying to tell me. Two steps away from my bike and the guy guns his car RIGHT AT ME. WTF!?!?!?!? I push / bounce off his hood and roll to the driver side. My first reaction is to come up swinging. I can still see his ugly mug as my fist is flying. To bad the car is in motion. I hit his rear window as he peels off.
I consider taking off after this a-hole but think otherwise. I was pumped full of adrenalin and might do something I later regret. After the excitement wore off my hand, from punching his window, and knee from him hitting me started to hurt. No real injuries but a little shaken up. I still don't know what got this guy worked up.
Be careful out there folks.
I'm going to have a beer or two tonight.

You never can tell when you're about to meet some psycho freak - you've always got to be aware . Glad to hear you're alright - you did the right thing leaving him to get killed by someone else .

dayum. shame you didnt get his plate to report him. tho if LEO would do anything about it given the lack of evidence is questionable  shades of the soccer mom who tried to hit the guy on the scooter a little while ago and was caught.

This is what guns are made for  Now I don't recommend that you or anyone start blastin away at every person that makes you mad, BUT! This guy attempted to MURDER YOU!! He was attempting to take your life with a 3500 pound projectile. This was reason enough to defend yourself and end his miserable life.

That would've pissed me off.
But seriously man, I wouldn't wave at anybody but another biker. Car drivers don't get it. And when you "WAVED" at him, I gaurantee he took it as a "fuck you" or a "get the fuck out of my way" attitude wave. You ticked him off with that wave.....100% know it. I've done something like that 1x last year and got a dirty look. Don't wave at ANY cars just bikes. Cars don't understand that stuff.

I would'a got the plate & reported him for attempted murder...
G35? Sounds like a good asshole to put in prison...
