Wikco MC Tire changer....NO GOOD.
Uh, I purchased this with the intent on using it as a portable tire changing unit.
While the unit itself is not bad construction, the tech/product support SUCKS ASS. After wanted all the "original purchaser" information and hassling me about the purchase, they proceeded to deny a sale of a new mount/demount bar for their product. I wasn't expecting a freebie, but christ, they wanted $130 for a stupid bar that broke when used properly. The whole unit cost $400 brand new!
Anyway, I solved the problem by purchasing a replacement unit from NoMarr enterprises for about $80.

Honestly, for the additional $100, this changing unit looks ALOT better than the Wikco one.

Yes, the NoMar is $500.. the Wikco is $400. I recommend spending the extra $100 on the No Mar if thats your bag. The Coats 220 is $850 delivered and works the same way.
May seem expensive at first.. but changing tires at YOUR convienience and not having to rely on anyone is priceless. Plus, you can charge your friends $10-$15 till you get it paid for....lol

Those of us in the R&D side of things where we change alot of wheels on sportbikes, as well as MX wheels for dyno testing (take off knobbies, mount smooth treads) definetly recommend the Coats 220. The thing flat works and is no maintance at all.
Freek - I have that Harbor freight one also. But I didn't buy the motorcycle attachment . I use it alot for automotive tires and it works great. I just put some duck tape on the ends when doing alloy wheels to not scratch them. Bet I've done over 200 tires on it. Only cost me $55 on sale!

Yep TB that's a good one. I have looked at that several times. I just worry that it's "too cheap". Definetly an awesome price for an automatic/air changer. I just wanted the simplicity and no maintance of manual operation and the Coats is just the ticket. It probably takes me another 30 seconds (if that) to do it manually. No biggee.
