Fun over rough terrain during offroad trainings with the new BMW HP2 Enduro

Munich. Dusty gravel tracks, steep bluffs and water crossings: BMW is now also offering a sporty motorcycle driver training course over difficult terrain on the new HP2 Enduro. The training locations are the BMW Motorrad Enduro Park in Hechlingen and Aras Rural, near Valencia in Spain.

The BMW offroad tracks make tough demands on both the driver and the motorcycle. In small groups of six at most, participants learn how to control their machine on even the toughest terrains and at higher speeds, led by expert instructors. In addition, there are introductions to the vehicle technology and set-up of the new HP2 Enduro. The requirements for attending the training course are possession of a complete set of Enduro safety equipment and experience in the Enduro sector. Previous participation in a BMW Motorrad Enduro Training course is recommended.
The HP2 is the first representative of a new, separate BMW motorcycle category. "HP" stands for "high performance" and the "2" in the model designation means that this is a two-cylinder boxer engine. HP motorcycles use the technical basis of series vehicles, but stand out clearly through their consist focus on sporty driving and their exclusive product features. Their completely new lightweight frame is based on the experience gained from desert rallies. A world innovation is the air-spring shock absorber system for the rear wheel. The HP2 Enduro has been available in the market since autumn 2005.

For those already in Europe, o,r in the case of the second course, who can take a week for the purpose and afford the bill, that sounds like a really good thing. I can see that the HP2, being so different (much heavier and much more powerful) than other enduros, quite likely the rider would benefit from specialized training.
