the zzr 1200 has a 6.1 gal gas tank, I do a lot of 600 + miles a day. since mid october I rode over 10K miles. last sunday I went from vegas to az ( congress, yarnell, prescott , sedona, flagstaff and back to vegas) I did twice the 1k/ day. it's a shame that this bike is not reconized, it's a total sleeper. and in the twisties (like the one in prescott ) 2 guys ( 1 CBR and a 750 gsxr) had trouble to keep up with me. that bike does both touring and sport very well. of course it's not a track bike...
the zx 14 is a little more on the sporty side but still a capable tourer. if you can afford the bike....

that bike IS recognized around my neighborhood, what are you talking about!?
and my 14 wasn't that expensive as you suggest, no more than a new litre bike actually

I meant that you can find a zzr12000 in perfect condition for sport touring use, around $ 5.5 / 6 k . compare to a NEW zx14 price.
don't give me wrong, if I could afford the 14 it would already be in my garage.
