Will Kawi re-release the 750R Ninja?
Should Kawi be aggressive and release a Ninja 750R that was redesigned on par with the current lineup? Or just let the 750cc class be left to Suzuki?

I'm not sure there even IS a 750 "class" Most folks would buy a 600 or jump big to a 1000. Would sales numbers suport a 750? As well as the ZX7rr did for years on the track, it couldn't sell well enough to still be here today. I think it's up to the bean counters.

Oh, but I do predict something along the lines of an 800 class AFTER MotoGP changes over in '07. Someone will surely want it on the street.

remember 2003 daytona when the 636 blew away all the 750's no need for kaw to produce the 750 again.

With the 636 and the Triumph 675 being what they are I think the 750 market just might become popular again. Which would be a good.

Here's my thought, tying in with the observation that the ZX-6R is only barely lighter -- 8 lb lighter -- than the ZX-10R. frEEk argued that the ZX-6R motor may not be a much lighter mill than the ZX-10R motor, while I argued that it ought to be but guessed the rest of the bike is heavier due to being built to a lower price point, thus giving the nearly equal total weight. Whichever explanation is correct, or whether the truth lies in the middle, the fact is that with the ZX-6R you don't get a much lighter machine but you do get much less power and far less low-end and low-mid.
Now I think there's little point in producing a machine that simply splits the difference between the ZX-6R and the ZX-10R, being intermediate in weight, power curve, steering etc. That's just splitting things too fine. I wouldn't do that.
But why not make a 750 Triple out of the ZX-10R motor?
I think we would have to agree that with the block being 3/4 as wide, the cases being 3/4 as wide, the heads being 3/4 as wide (all these being only approximate values) and with approximately 3/4 as many internal parts in these regards, and the transmission having to transmit only 3/4 the torque, such a motor might well be only about 3/4 the weight.
In other words, it might be 35 lb lighter or thereabouts. So the bike could be that much lighter, which would be quite significant. This Ninja 750 Triple could be much lighter than the ZX-6R and, while not having greatly more top-end power, would have much more low-end and midrange.
It could be a very narrow bike too.
Price it a little lower than the ZX-10R according to the savings on the motor, and it would be a unique machine definitely with strong advantages over the ZX-6R, yet quite different also from the ZX-10R.
And it's not as if Kawasaki doesn't have a tradition with 750 Triples.
I don't think it will happen but it's a good idea to me. If I lived in a twistier area and/or if I wind up coming up with a good arrangement for trackdays I would strongly consider buying it.

I agree on both counts.
