Is that a 2006 model?
I truly do not like saying so but it certainly appears the ZRX, were it to continue being sold, would be an embarrassment against that.
And how can it be a Suzuki without SUZUKI appearing in foot-tall letters?
Unbelievable (for Suzuki) how clean this bike is. They must have some new people. That much seems absolutely certain.

It may be a 600, in which case of course comparing to the ZRX doesn't follow.
From Motocycle Daily:

Suzuki announced the naked GSR600 at the Paris Motorcycle Show this week. A modern, powerful 600 featuring a version of the GSX-R powerplant, the GSR600 takes some of the styling cues from the Boost King concept shown at the Tokyo Motor Show several years ago. The sport bike motor has been tuned for broader power and more low-end and mid-range torque.
The GSR600 is fuel injected (utilizing two double-barrel 38mm throttle bodies) and offers extensive instrumentation, including analog tach, LCD digital speedometer, LCD digital gear position indicator, odometer, dual trip meters, fuel gauge and a clock.
The GSR600 meets EURO 3 emissions requirements. No word yet whether this bike will be offered in the United States in 2006. We may know more in a few days.

i don't think the comparison fo this bike with the ZRX is valid. this new GSR is meant to be a modern street fighter whereas the ZRX was always a retro bike.

Well, the thing is, there is only so much market for 80's retro. A lot of riders are more interested in what the bike will do for them and how good it is than if the frame is antique.
ZRX sales dropped off to near nothing quite some time ago. I think it's fair to say that that is because of combination of near-exhaustion of the retro-demand combined with a shift of opinion in that the ZRX was once also considered a relatively modern performer, somehow combining a traditional look with modern performance, whereas now is considered a dinosaur.
I doubt that Kawasaki will sell large numbers of naked bikes again until making a bike that, like this Suzuki, seems like an up-to-the-minute, optimum-performing naked bike that, while true they didn't look like this in 1982, everyone would have died for if they had.
